Homemade marinated cherries are a simple and delicious way to decorate and make your cocktails Amazing.

Very often it happens to underestimate the importance of decorations.

In this case, the cherry not only embellishes your cocktails, but pleasantly alters its taste once consumed.

So my friend, decoration is to be considered an ingredient of the drink even if not in liquid form.

500 gr. Sweet cherries, pitted

½ cup of sugar

½ cup of water

2 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed

1 cinnamon stick

Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 glass of brandy

Tools: pitted cherries, saucepan, ladle, jars with lids

Wash and pierce the cherries.

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except cherries and brandy and bring to a boil.

When the liquid starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium.

Add the cherries and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Remove from the heat, add the brandy and allow to cool.

Transfer the cherries to clean jars and refrigerate, uncovered until the cherries are cool to the touch.

Cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
