OCTOBER
Is it obvious to think about the seasons?
It often happens that for the desire to create something new, we make everything too difficult, not only for the customers, but also for us.
The answers to inspiration are under our eyes, always, and every day, it is that they seem obvious and too banal.
I understand perfectly what is the feeling of pleasure that creation gives us, but believe me it is precisely those obvious things that often turn into great masterpieces.
If you are still in disbelief and want a demonstration, I accept the challenge.
The seasonal ingredients I found are:
Chestnut, Pumpkin, Grapes, Eggplants, Potatoes, Walnuts and Carrots.
Let's say that I have chosen two incredible ones that are not used much in mixing,
CHESTNUT and PUMPKIN
These two ingredients fascinate me a lot and take me back to when I was little.
The chestnut ritual has always been a family custom, where we all gathered and went to collect the fallen chestnuts in the mountains and then cook them.
The Pumpkin is for me Hollowain, where I enjoyed immensely scaring my friends by putting on makeup and wearing scaring masks.
But I want to exaggerate and put an unexpected COFFEE ingredient on the plate of our challenge.
Now you have fun.
Chestnut jam (you can buy it, or you can make it to your liking by going to see my tips on how to make a jam)
Pumpkin Syrup (choose the one you like best)
Caffe Lavazza Tierra Brazil.
Distillate?
I, mela, would play with a low ABV product, a Vermouth, considering that I live in Piedmont.
Shake technique to cool well and mix all the ingredients in the best possible way.
